New art! Yay!

Of course, for every piece of art that gets posted here, there are two more that never see the light of day. I'm glad that this one could be finished properly.
I decided to do some things different for Lilith. I avoided the "Undo" button. I painted with the Artists's Oils, where I had previously used the Airbrushes. I did a simple sketch before hand, and then I just started going at it. If I screwed up, I painted over it and tried again. Nothing is smoothed out like I usually do. I tried to suggest the shape rather than explicitly paint it.

I tried to emulate the look of the Dutch Masters. Rembrandt is a big inspiration to me.

I sound like a high school art teacher, I know... but I'm coming to find that they were right a lot of the time.

I hate epiphanies that prove my thirteen year old self wrong. They're always so embarassing.
